Councillor Mrs Margaret McDougall

Biography 
Margaret started her first term as a Councillor for North Ayrshire Council in May 1999. She is enjoying meeting her constituents and ensuring Kilwinning is represented on the many committees on which she serves.

She formerly worked in a local hosiery company before returning to further education. The conclusion of her part-time study at Glasgow University was Membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Margaret is currently employed as a Senior Housing Officer with Scottish Homes in Kilmarnock and is finding that her housing expertise is proving invaluable in her position as a Local Authority Councillor.

Margaret lives in Irvine with her husband and grown up son and daughter. She is a member of Unison.
