17. 22 Main Street - Victorian tenement rebuilt and given a new extension with a cutaway entrance at the corner by IDC in 1985. Achieved Civic Trust Award 1986. 22 MAIN STREET
18. Mercat Cross - Wooden 16th Century. Largely restored, on original stone base. MERCAT CROSS
19. 24 Main Street - listed building. restored by IDC as two flats at the same time as No 22. The date 1744 appears on the roof corner stone. Other details indicate a much earlier date. Possibly the 'house at the Croce' mentioned in the 1642 minute books of the Masons and used as their lodge until 1780.  
   
21. Erskine Church (1838) - refurbished by John McGavin. Garden Square site of 19th century gardens used by occupants of tenements. Site now the Erskine Church Hall. Erskine Church
